Update!

Hello! Sorry It’s been so long since I have last blogged! It’s been a right roller coaster ride over the last few weeks but - I have finished and am still in one piece! Having finished the TATA Communications brief, I moved onto creating a refresh for Toyota! This was a great project - bright and colorful and created a really bright fresh look for the car manufacturer. I’m in the process of updating my website today and tomorrow so hopefully over the weekend some new work should be up!

Along side the uni work I have also been busy contributing towards the 2010 degree show called Elements. I have been working along side the build and design of the website and overall branding for the show.

Watch this space!

Ive had this book marked for ages, and as i haven’t blogged for a while I thought I would share with you a little treat! I come across this website a while ago, and find it literally mesmorising to watch and follow! It’s a grid of Gif animations, all different and all looped. I love the style and material use as well as the vibrant use of colour and design!  Have a look here!

Having found this it made me want to find more of the same, so while looking through a few of my books I come across some work by Julien vallee, who has adopted a very similar approach in moving image repetition! The vimeo video is above.

Love the new site for Studio - Output! Check it out here!

This is really nice! Stokke Austad have come up with this working calendar illustrating the different months and seasons of the year. I absolutley love the colour and useabilty allowing the user to change dates and colour around as well as adding their own photos/ notes and memos. See some more photos and descriptions here!

Love the recent work of GCRP Sound! This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this, and to be honest I think it’s really clever and shows ingenuity at its best! I love the simply and clean design aesthetic and attention to detail show in the pin which plays the LP as well as the printed grpahics! Lovely!

Interactive Desk

Just come across this new digital instillation by Julien Vallee. The idea behind it is to bring to life insignificant ‘everyday’ objects. The platform is a desk, which features a number of these objects which interact and come to life upon the touch of a keyboard key.

Use your a-z keys to bring to life the environment… you can have a look and play here

Some really nice work from the Peepshow Collective by Chrissie MacDonald

This is a cheeky and cheerful use of Post-it notes! There has been lots of spin off uses for the little sticky creatures, from producing artwork to changing spaces but this use of producing what only better represents a slinky is pretty good!I love the aesthetic and movement in the forms, and really like their playful and fast movements which almost gives the Post-its character. I also really like the way in which they convert the environment from a a boring office to a fun and colourful space.

New Books!
Thanks to Amazon, next day delivery has never felt better! I decided to have a massive re haul of my book collection yesterday and on a ‘slightly mad’ overspend I bought a book or two….Haven’t had a chance to go through them all yet; yet i’m still awaiting the delivery of more which are due tomorrow - For now, it’s coffee and a mid afternoon recline to enjoy these wonderful beauts!

‘Exit Though The Gift Shop’ A Banksy Film.

This made me happy. It’s not every morning you wake up to a twitter feed pumped full of hype and speculation over what might happen in the next 12 to 24 hours, however the Premier of the Banksy film tonight has obviously sparked from outcry! Quoting, ‘spray cans will be checked’ the premier tongiht in the bowls of Waterloo Station, London will provide the first insight into the life andlifestyle of the infamous ‘Banksy’

I can’t wait to watch it myself in the next few weeks… Until then, I’m off to get my trye changed on my car!

In the dark, deep depths of Waterloo Station tonight, is the Lambeth Palace - A 150 purpose built cinema which will play host to the Premier of the Banksy Film. The setting couldn’t feature a better purpose…. look above for the trailer!

Love the work by Ben Ben World. You can take a look here. His use of print and overlayed anaimation is something I have never seen before.. It really brings the flat imagery to life, and gives a completley different spin on the printed projects! Nice!

Just come across this really nice visual bank of images, photographs and designers work. You can have a look at it here….
